About Southeast Iowa Handyman
I started Southeast Iowa Handyman to offer something simple that’s getting harder to find: reliable work done right the first time.
This isn’t a volume business where jobs get rushed just to move on to the next one. I take the time to do things correctly so you’re not dealing with the same problem again a year from now.
Most of my work comes from repeat customers and referrals. That only happens when people trust you to show up, communicate clearly, and leave their home better than you found it.
I handle a wide range of projects, from small repairs to larger updates, but the goal is always the same: quality work, clean finish, no shortcuts.
If something doesn’t need to be done, I’ll tell you. If there’s a better way to do it, I’ll explain it. No sales pitch, just straightforward advice and solid work.
I’m based in Fort Madison and serve the surrounding areas. Currently booking projects in advance, so if you’ve got something in mind, it’s best to reach out early.

When something fails and needs immediate attention, I offer limited 24 hour emergency services for urgent repairs that protect your home and prevent further damage.
This includes situations like:
- Active water leaks
- Broken or unsecured doors and windows
- Storm or weather damage
- Safety-related repairs that need immediate attention
Emergency service is focused on stabilizing the issue and preventing additional damage. Permanent repairs can be scheduled once the situation is under control.
Please note: Emergency calls are prioritized based on severity and availability, and after-hours rates may apply.
Scheduling
I stay consistently booked, so most projects are scheduled in advance.
If you’re planning something, it’s best to reach out early to get on the schedule. Smaller jobs can sometimes be worked in between larger projects depending on availability.
Once your estimate is approved, we’ll lock in a timeframe and I’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
I do my best to stay on schedule, but delays can happen due to weather, material availability, or unexpected conditions on a job. If that happens, I’ll communicate with you so you’re not left guessing.
